Maderotherapy
It is an alternative form of massage that has its roots in Colombia and is based on the use of anatomically designed wooden tools. The word "madero" in Spanish means "wood", hence its name, Wooden Therapy or Body Sculpture Therapy.
🎯 It offers a powerful effect in reducing body toxins, eliminating excess fat, tightening buttocks, hips and legs, activating cells inside the skin and fighting against the 'orange peel' skin phenomenon.
✔️ In order to have satisfactory results, which are visible right from the first session, balanced diet and daily exercise are considered necessary.

1. Could there be any contraindications or reasons that make a massage therapy inappropriate?
Massage therapy is not indicated in some cases, such as the presence of acute injuries, skin diseases, thrombosis, serious heart disease, neoplasms or recent surgeries. Assessment by the qualified therapist is essential before the beginning of any session.
2. What is the difference between the various massage techniques?
Each massage technique has a different purpose:
- Swedish massage aims to improve blood circulation, reduce muscle tension, and enhance general well-being.
- Sport massage aims to improve athletic performance, prevent injuries, and support muscular recovery both pre- and post- exercise.
- Therapeutic massage contributes to the relief of musculoskeletal pain, muscular spasms, and joint or muscle stiffness.
- Lymphatic massage aims to stimulate lymphatic circulation, promoting detoxification of the body, reduction of swelling, and strengthening of the immune system.
- Reflexology massage is a pressure technique applied to specific points on the feet that correspond to organs and systems of the body, activating self-healing mechanisms and promoting the body's natural balance.
- Maderotherapy uses wooden tools to sculpt the body and activate blood circulation and lymph flow.
- Cupping massage is based on suction techniques for muscle relaxation and detoxification.
3. How many sessions are needed to see results?
The number of sessions required depends on the individual's needs, skin condition, and overall physiology. Generally, visible results begin to appear after 3 to 5 sessions, while a complete and lasting outcome typically requires a treatment plan of 10 to 25 sessions. An initial assessment by the therapist during the first session helps determine a personalized treatment plan.
4. What are the most common body reactions after a maderotherapy session?
Maderotherapy, as a natural and non-invasive technique, may cause mild and temporary reactions that are completely normal. Common reactions include slight redness, mild swelling, or tenderness in the treated area, which typically resolve within a few hours. In some cases, superficial bruising may occur, especially if the skin or circulatory system is sensitive. These reactions indicate activation of microcirculation and lymphatic drainage.
